David Platt is on the top with his Strategy

Former England International David Platt currently coach of FC Pune City surprised the fan when he made 5 changes in his starting line up from the winning combination of previous match. Most surprisingly Tuncay Sanli who scored brace in the first match was on the bench. Generally coaches like to continue the same winning team to maintain the tempo and combination. What could be the reason? Well, I think David Platt is having an aim to play final on 20th December for that reason perhaps he is testing the match fitness of all the players of Pune squads. As we know this ISL is 13 weeks league and team's have to play matches twice in a week. A strong reserve bench can help a team to cope up with the injure for long run. Well done David Platt, as his strategy gave him 6 clear points in first two matches and currently FC Pune City is in top of the league table.  Colotto had a fantastic first match but when Johnson played in place of Colotto as a center back, he grabbed the "Hero of the Match Award". Ravanan & Manish Maithani paired up consistently with Johnson & Nicky Shorey, which makes Pune defence stronger. Israel Gurung was bit off colour as Raju Yumnam had marked him completely. For North East United coach Cesar Farias need to pull his socks up as his team is yet to get any point after couple of away matches. Though he has a fantastic striker (Argentinian) Nicolas Velez and an outstanding center back (Frenchman) Cedric Hengbart. Both of these players has played an influential role in attack and  defence respectively. North East United with lots of Energy, Speed and Endurance fought very well but unfortunately conceded an own goal by defender Zotea Ralte
