Feb 03 2016 : The Times of India  (Kolkata)  Kerala, Goa to host IFA Shield matches.

 "Under-19 EPL   Sides Likely  To Take Part For the first time in the  IFA Shield's 120-year-old history , two matches will be held outside  Bengal. Announcing this here on Tuesday , IFA president Subrata Dutta  said that Kerala and Goa will host a match each in the under-19  tournament. Kerala's State Bank of Trivancore and Salgaocar's under-19 team will play one of their matches at their home ground.  Apart from four city teams -East Bengal, Mohun Bagan, Mohammedan  Sporting and United SC -two under-19 sides of the English Premier League  are also expected to take part.Completing the line-up will be AIFF  Under-19 and a qualifier from CFL Premier Division A and B. The 10 teams  will play with each other and the top four will qualify for the semis.  “We have got Crystal Palace's confirmation and are awaiting the nod  from another Premier League side,“ IFA secretary Utpal Ganguly said. West Ham United are likely to be the second overseas side.  The tournament, which has been  turned into an under-19 event from last year, is scheduled to kick off  on February 16 and will run till the second week of March. The  organizers have roped in LG Electronics as the title sponsors. The  winning team will take home Rs 5 lakh while the runners-up will get Rs 3  lakh as prize money . Most of the matches will be held at East Bengal and Mohun Bagan grounds while Kalyani and Barasat will be the other venues. National Film Award-winning  singer Rupankar has sung the theme song for the tournament. The  tournament is being managed by Ekalavya Sports Foundation, run by former  international Kalyan Chaubey and other TFA graduates.  PARTICIPATING TEAMS East Bengal, Mohun Bagan, Mohammedan Sporting,  United SC, AIFF U-19 side, SBT, Salgaocar FC, Crystal Palace, another  EPL side (most likely West Ham) and winners of a qualifying round  involving teams from CFL Premier A and B Divisions."
